Why Modern Attendance Needs Three Layers of Verification
Paper registers and manual punch cards leave room for buddy punching, proxy attendance, and payroll disputes. Attend Mitra combines face verification, GPS geo-fencing, and a real-time live monitor so every check-in is tied to a verified identity and location.
The mobile app extends this to the field — employees mark attendance from their phone while the admin console shows who is on-site, late, or absent in real time.
- Face verification prevents proxy attendance at kiosks and mobile devices
- GPS geo-fencing restricts check-ins to approved work sites
- Live monitor gives supervisors a real-time view of attendance status
Step 1: Enable Face Recognition
Open Settings → Attendance → Face Verification in the Attend Mitra admin console. Toggle face auth on and set your match threshold (recommended: 85% for office environments, 80% for outdoor sites with variable lighting).
Each employee enrolls once via the Attend Mitra mobile app or a shared kiosk tablet. The system stores encrypted face embeddings — not raw photos — for privacy compliance.
- Navigate to Workforce → Employees and send enrollment invites
- Employees complete a 3-angle face scan in under 60 seconds
- Re-enrollment is required only when appearance changes significantly
Step 2: Configure GPS & Live Monitor
Under Settings → Geo-Fencing, draw or import site boundaries for each branch, warehouse, or client location. Set allowed radius (default 100 m) and choose whether GPS is mandatory, optional, or disabled per employee group.
Enable Live Monitor under Attendance → Dashboard to see a live feed of check-ins, late arrivals, and absent employees. Filter by department, shift, or site. Export the day's log for audit or payroll handoff.
- Add multiple geo-fences per company for multi-site operations
- Configure grace period and late-mark rules per shift template
- Live monitor supports supervisor alerts for missed check-ins
