Build Reusable Shift Templates
Start by defining shift templates in Attend Mitra → Scheduling → Shift Templates. A template captures start time, end time, break duration, grace period, and overtime rules.
Reuse templates across departments instead of creating ad-hoc schedules each week. Common patterns — morning (9–6), evening (2–11), night (10–7) — can be saved once and applied to any team.
- Define grace period and half-day thresholds per template
- Set weekly off days and holiday overrides in the company calendar
- Link templates to attendance rules for automatic late/absent marking
Weekly Rosters and Employee Visibility
Use the weekly roster view to assign employees to shifts by drag-and-drop. Publish the roster and employees instantly see their schedule in the mobile app with push notifications for changes.
For rotating shifts (e.g., 2 days morning, 2 days evening), create a rotation pattern and apply it to a group for automatic assignment over multiple weeks.
- Copy last week's roster as a starting point
- Highlight understaffed shifts before publishing
- Employees can request shift swaps through the mobile app
Measuring Schedule Effectiveness
After a month, review attendance analytics to see which shifts have the highest late rates or absenteeism. Adjust start times, break lengths, or staffing levels based on data rather than guesswork.
